Plant cell walls are a major biosource for the production of ethanol. The potential for producing improved biological materials for use in producing ethanol centers on understanding and modifying plant cell walls. I am very interested in research targeted at producing superior biological sources of lignocellulosic/plant wall material to be used for ethanol production.
