SUMMARY OF RESEARCH DIRECTIONS

Kaushlendra Singh has been involved in the solid waste-to-energy based bioenergy research for more than three years and in its extension for over eight years. Being a graduate student and co-investigator of two projects, Mr. Singh is currently investigating the possibility of value added energy products from poultry litter using fractionation and pyrolysis. In addition, Mr. Singh has developed a novel procedure to determine the composition of lignin-cellulose mixture using thermo-gravimetric analysis. Entropy analysis and emergy synthesis of the pyrolysis system are his other key contributions in bioenergy research.
